Carrots! Purple carrots, white carrots, blue carrots, yellow carrots! Carrots! Roasted with garlic and balsamic vinegar and sweet chili sauce and red pepper flakes! Carrots! My diet has been, shall we say, unconventional these past three months. It started with over a month ingesting protein shakes for two meals, then one of those healthier frozen microwave meals for dinner. I ate no other food except when going out with my honeybug sugar bear, who'll die a bit inside when he reads this, because what self-respecting man feels comfortable being called those things? I may be eating even weirder (let it go) now, if that's possible. The drinks are there, but the sweetness is becoming unpalatable. The frozen dinners are regular guest stars, but I've begun supplementing them with various, random fresh vegetables. And a bag of the cutest tiny apples. - One evening last week dinner was a microwavable bag of fresh baby sweet potatoes. I pulled a couple out, threw on butter (dairy!) and sour cream (more dairy!), and that was it. My body hasn't expressed any distress, but it must be confused. I'm liking the sensation of feeling hungry much of the time, taking the edge off by imbibing large amounts of coffee with frothy milk (dairy!). - I have weird cravings. - I don't know what's going on. Not for certain. The fact it coincides with heavy-duty therapy seems too coincidental to ignore. Maybe it's that? Always something with me.
