From my daughter's High School newspaper, re: the volcano in Iceland:
"People around the world are not too concerned, mainly because of a lack of information on volcanoes and even if information is given, "I would say that most of the public would not understand it," said Mr. Clark, biology teacher."
Okay, so nobody cares because there's not much information out there (?), and a biology teacher can't explain what's happening so anyone can understand?
Now that's impressive.
Later: "Mr. Clark said he would not live by a volcano, knowing how dangerous they are."
At least he realizes that much, eh? But does he realize no matter how far we live from certain calderas – like Yellowstone National Park – we're all dead?
Maybe I should send him an email. Nah, but he probably wouldn't care, anyway.
Oh mercy, this makes me hurt to read it. lol
