SUCH a proud maternal moment, I had to share. It involves my youngest, my son who's 12. He's developed a particular talent few possess.
HE CAN BELCH WORDS!
First he belched the names of BOTH our dogs (on separate occasions), then I challenged him to something longer, like the amazing car we saw yesterday (both my boys are car crazed, in seventh heaven when they saw it).
He belched… Are you ready for this? Because my eyes are blurred by tears of joy:
LAMBORGHINI!
That's FOUR SYLLABLES, people! FOUR. F-O-U-R! Plus, it was a way cool car.
I'm not sure it gets much better than this.
I hadn’t realized what a perfect belch word “Lamborghini” was! Four-syllable words are usually pretty tough – for the advanced class only – but the absence of plosives and hard consonant sounds makes this one roll smoothly out of the throat.
Yes, there is a science to it.

I’m so glad you recognize the significance of this! For his next trick I may ask him to try “Alfa Romeo.” With just a bit more gusto I think he could pull it off.
Incidentally, this is the child who weighs about 6 oz. soaking wet (why do people weigh others soaking wet, anyway?), yet the gas he can produce is just AMAZING. And I do mean AMAZING.

I never looked at the literary structure of “Lamborghini” before, but I can see the science. Thank you for opening my eyes! Best wishes
