Out of Season

Found these two hiding behind the cereal boxes, along with one of the huge candy canes Santa put in the kids' stockings last holiday season. I'd just dumped the remainder of the uneaten Halloween candy, in anticipation of Easter's treats, then these two popped up.

They're good chocolate, too. We're talking European, not domestic. Even if they are a little smashed (they're hollow, poor dears) they're a respectable pair.

Rather than letting them go to waste, on the lovely 70 F day I found them I honored the unknown chocolatier by putting them to good use.

Note: three month old chocolate, while still perfectly edible, loses a little in the translation.
