Springing Back to Life

Our crab apple tree always blooms on the late side, after the daffodils and of course the weeds, which have already cropped up. Makes me frustrated seeing weeds and not being able to do anything about it, since I can't even think of kneeling three weeks post knee surgery.

Magnolias and flowering shrubs in our neighborhood are coming into bloom, and as far as this tree has gotten is putting out a few leaves. It's skipped blooming a couple years, but for the past few years it's put out its pink flowers with their accompanying glorious, sweet scent. With a little luck it'll do so again.
