Yesterday encased in ice. Today covered in a few inches of fluffy snow:
Welcome to winter in Chicago!
I can sit back and say the snow's pretty today, because I don't actually have to be anywhere. I want to get out at some point to take advantage of the post-holiday sales, but there's not much on my list of needs. I doubt the stores will sell out of what I want, and the prices will probably only continue to drop as time goes on. That's what you call a win-win.
I'm already starting to lose track of what day it is. A good sign of being on a true vacation. If you're well aware of what day it is, you're either watching too much news of just paying too much attention. And I, ADD woman, have little trouble allowing days to recede into the background. The one time I find it necessary to retain at least the date is following the creation of my latest bit of art in my multimedia journal. Otherwise, time just doesn't matter.
LUXURY.
Hope you all had a lovely day yesterday. We had fluffy Belgian waffles for breakfast, our family tradition:
We had extra. Ah, if you had only been here! Maybe next year.
Next post I'll tell you about all the goodies I got. Including THREE BOOKS. You'll just have to wait.
