Incredibly humid out there today, so the dew lasted long enough for me to get outside and take a few photos using the macro lens.
This lens remains the bane of my existence. When it works it really, really works, but when it doesn't it fails spectacularly. The slightest shake ruins the photo, save for rare instances when you luck out and get a cool effect. But the difference between the macro lens and our normal short zoom is inestimable. I took the short zoom out, to see if I could get the shots I missed with the macro, and I couldn't get anywhere near them.
Time to stop being so damn stubborn and start using the tripod. Dragging it out is a pain, but it beats taking 30 photos when you could just take 10.
Okay, okay. Point taken.
