High Fashion on Michigan Avenue – 2007
In 2007 the city of Chicago featured an outdoor exhibit of dresses extending up and down Michigan Avenue. These weren't your average dresses. The artists let their imaginations run wild, using all manner of materials and designs to create more interpretations than you'd think possible.
I took photos of several of the dresses, with varying degrees of success. I liked this one, even if the reflected light of the skirt and the dark bodice made PhotoShopping necessary in order to balance out the light. I love the graceful lines and playfulness of it, as well as the hint of sensuality.
And I love this city, and its appreciation for aesthetic beauty. It's world class, even if I am prejudiced.
I love your city too, after all it is the home of you, the Obamas, and Roger Ebert, who could ask for more.
